Our partners not only support our mission to provide a service that enables fairness for customers and the community, but also provide significant resources to enable this work. Our partners include: our pro bono partnership, the Health Justice Partnership and our funders. This long-term collaboration enhances professional practice, community capacity building and contributes greatly to building a reputation for academic outreach with a high impact on the community. The North Suburbs Community Law Centre aims to provide clients with a service tailored to their needs. We understand that legal and social issues can be complex and often require a combination of legal, social and financial support.

They provide legal information and advice to the community in the areas of family law, tenancy law, criminal law, domestic violence and certain areas of civil law, including elder abuse. The success of our community law centre depends on cooperation and engagement with our supporters, partners and the community. Thank you very much! Studied as an elective unit, Community Legal Practice (LAW3602), students complete a work placement at the Centre and gain first-hand many of the skills required for responsible and successful practice of law. Under the supervision of qualified lawyers, students will assist in the provision of legal services, enabling students to apply much of the theoretical knowledge acquired in other legal entities. Students will also learn the practical and ethical aspects of legal advice, including managing client expectations and confidentiality, and will be encouraged to reflect on the relevance of the law in a social context.
