Mourinho on Alli: These players should create chances, not problems
Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho commented on the performance of midfielder Dele Alli in the English League Cup match against Stoke City (3:1).
The football player entered the game in the starting lineup and spent 66 minutes on the field. At the beginning of the second half, Alli lost the ball, which led to a scoring counterattack by the opponent.
“I believe that if a player is in a position like Dele, he should create chances for his team, not problems. They caught us counterattacking, that pissed me off.
The first half was good for us. We left the opponent without the ball. But in the second half, instead of finishing off the opponent, we set ourselves up,” Mourinho quotes Goal.
Alli has made 13 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
Earlier it was reported that Mourinho severely trolled Alli on Instagram.
